I had taken a class to learn how to make ceramic/pottery objects. I just never learned how to make clay & glaze. Artist just trying to get into different type of art. Does anyone know how?

Instead of playing the usual games, we’re going to have her shower at a pottery painting place. I need help in a polite way of asking the bridesmaids to bring money for their own pottery since there are so many of us. We are each keeping our own piece of pottery so it would be different if we were giving it all to the bride. In a way, I guess it’s more like a “girls night” Any suggestions?
