pottery paintsI’m supposed to be throwing this shower for my friend. We’re all bringing honeymoon type gifts and its just for the bridesmaids. Instead of playing the usual games, we’re going to have her shower at a pottery painting place. I need help in a polite way of asking the bridesmaids to bring money for their own pottery since there are so many of us. We are each keeping our own piece of pottery so it would be different if we were giving it all to the bride. In a way, I guess it’s more like a “girls night” Any suggestions?

Chosen Answer:

It’s a party with a purpose; and for [Karen's] bridesmaids only!
Bring something Karen can use for her honeymoon as a gift;
And get ready to have fun painting your choice of pottery as your own keepsake.

(Prices for pottery range from – 0.)
We visited this pottery shop, Castle Arch Pottery, out of curiosity. We found beautiful, original pottery. We met one of the two men who created the pottery. It was much less expensive than the prices we see in Dublin and even in the store in the same complex. So, it was a typical day in Ireland (outside of Dublin, at least).

Pottery from the Nazca region after AD 600 no longer features Nazca supernatural beings, but rather shows Wari symbols. It also reveals a shift in style toward vessels produced in the Wari heartland.

This piece is said to have a face with an abstract octopus. It was made in the Ica Region of southern Peru between AD 600 to 1000 by the Wari.

It looks like the head is the lid to the jar, but there’s actually a hole in the top of the head for liquid to enter.
